Gate Valve Extensions

The Gate Valve Extension (GVEXT) enables the operation of deeply buried valves with standard length gate valve keys.

The GVEXT consists of a shank with an 2” valve operator on the top and an 2” socket on  the  bottom.

The  bottom  of  the  GVEXT  (2”  socket)  is  placed  on  top  of  a  deeply  buried  valve.

A standard length gate key can now be placed on top of the gate valve extension enabling the valve to be operated.

The extension can be left in place and operated as needed.

A centering ring is attached to the shank of the extension to keep it centered in the valve box.

The weight of the extension will hold it into place.

Set screws are available to secure the GVEXT to the valve on new installations. To be used only with non rising valves.
